Invisible War #3 - Fighting on Every side

Jesus saves us FROM (2:1-3) and Jesus Saves us FOR (2:4-10)
Why is it important to understanding what Jesus saves us from and what he saves us for.
Why do some many people believe that Christians merely define themselves by what they're against?

From Death (2:1) | For Life (2:4-5)
How is the Christian view of of human anthropology different from other religions and perspectives?
How can someone both be spiritually dead according to Ephesians 2:1 and also very open to all forms of spirituality and religions of various kinds?
Jesus teaches that those who have been forgiven much will love much. How should our understanding of our complete helplessness spiritual enhance our worship of the God who rescued us?

From the World (2:2a) | For the Kingdom (2:7)
Spiritual warfare is fought on three fronts - The World, the flesh and the devil.
1 John 2:15-17 and James 4:4 talk about how the world is an organized system in opposition and rebellion against God. What are some ways you have seen or experienced organized opposition to God in the world around you? Give some examples of times you have had to actively fight against the external influences, temptations and pressures of the world? What ways it like and how do you fight the good fight of the faith? What does it mean for us to fight against the world for the world? (Think John 3:16 and 1 John 2:15-17)

The Devil (2:2b) | For God (2:6)
What do we learn about the character of the Devil by understanding his various titles (Rev 9:11, 12:9-10, 1 Pet 5:8, 2 Thess 2:18, Matt 12:24, John 8:44, Eph 2:2, John 12:31)? How do you recognize and war against the ordinary demonic at play in your life and the life of others such as sexual sin (1 Cor 7:5) bitterness (Eph 4:17-32) lies (John 8:44), drunkenness (Eph 5:8-21) and idle gossiping (1 Tim 5:11-15).

The Flesh (2:3) | For the Spirit (8-10)
The flesh is an internal resistance to obey God (Gal 5:19-21, Col 3:5-8, Mark 7:21-23, James 1:14-15). How do you identify internal temptations from the flesh? What ways have you had to put your flesh to death? How can we live free from the bondage of sin (Rom 6), walk in conscious submission to the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:16), and put to death sinful desires (Rom 8:13-16)?
